North Korean Soldiers Suffer Heavy Losses in Ukraine Conflict

News is emerging that several Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) soldiers have been killed or injured while combating the Ukraine fighting on Moscow’s flank. Authorities in Ukraine, South Korea and the US have all noted casualties among North Korean fighters near Ukraine’s boundary in Russia’s Kursk. Kyiv troops have killed or injured more than 1,000 North Korean soldiers Russia has dispatched to fight them, according to Ukraine and officials in South Korea.

“According to initial data, the number of casualties and injured North Korean soldiers in the Kursk area already surpasses 3,000 people,”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on December 23. North Korean soldiers were incompetent in fighting with Kyiv drones, which carried a high toll. In one illustration, Ukrainian drone handlers videoed how a North Korean troop accidentally hit his comrade as they attempted to strike the drone that was filming them. They may have been attempting to implement a tactic explained in a notebook retrieved from the corpse of a North Korean troop.

North Korean soldiers positioned in Russia’s Kursk area are suffering heavy casualties and being left undefended by the Russian forces they are battling alongside, according to Ukraine, while the US expresses Russian and North Korean generals notice the fighters as “expendable”. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russian soldiers were sending the North Koreans into war with minimal safeguards and that the North Koreans were taking drastic measures to evade being taken captive.

“Their casualties are significant, very significant,”

the Ukrainian president stated.

“We notice that neither the Russian troops nor their North Korean overseers have any stake in ensuring the survival of these North Koreans.”

Zelenskyy expressed that “several” injured North Korean fighters had passed away after being apprehended by Ukrainian parties.

In the USA, National Security Council representative John Kirby expressed that soldiers sent by Pyongyang were exterminating themselves rather than threatening capture. A “human wave” of North Korean troops was being sent to their extinction in “hopeless” episodes by generals who noticed them as expendable, he stated, calculating that Pyongyang mourned more than 1,000 killed or injured in just the past week, which documents parallel statistics notified by South Korea.
