It could be a bombing in your country, a neighbouring country or the emotional effects of being given the news of a mass killing, but it’s slowly being accepted as a part of the modern world. There was a time when the frequency of morbid acts like this was low and would create a pause in our lives. Today we are so over-occupied with data that the concern lasts only as long as the article; then we’re off to other issues. In such cases, the overabundance of media allows a convenient distraction from reality. Now that most have replaced the recent Easter bombings in Pakistan with other data, Tactics Institute asks how safe are we in Europe?
