Security forces killed 4 terrorists in Pakistan’s North Waziristan

Pakistan’s security forces killed four terrorists in a raid based on intelligence in the general area of Spinwam, North Waziristan District, the ISPR said.

“During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged Khwarij’s location,”

the statement declared.

Pakistan Army’s media wing ISPR further stated that weapons and ammunition were also retrieved from the khawarij, “who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians. Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other kharji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.”

“During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location and resultantly, six Khwarij were sent to hell, while two Khwarij were apprehended,”

ISPR revealed.

The term Khawarij has recently gained momentum in Pakistan, especially in referring to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, or TTP. This terminology is used by the Pakistani military and government to describe the TTP and its offshoots as militant groups that manipulate Islamic doctrine for the purpose of violence and terrorism.

The Pakistani government has formally labeled the TTP “Fitna al-Khawarij.” The decision is meant to reveal the actual face of the group, showing their actual ideological nature in presenting Islam. All the departments and agencies are under an instruction issued by the Ministry of Interior, where TTP militants must be addressed as Khawarij, de-legitimizing their operations to the general public.

Operations have increased against the military, specifically in regions like North Waziristan, and there has been the recent elimination of several Khawarij terrorists. At the same time, the government authorities appreciate the work done by security forces.

Military terminology used involves religious terminologies in a move to project that this conflict is not just an issue of security. Still, rather, it’s a matter of morals and ideas as far as fighting the terrorists who have issues with Pakistan’s social order. This approach aims to mobilize public opinion against terrorism while distinguishing between true Islamic practices and extremist ideologies.
