They emphasized the positive contributions of migrants to society and the importance of recognizing their role in preventing and combating terrorism. Migration was depicted as a driving force behind Europe’s cultural diversity, economic growth, and social cohesion. Additionally, migrants were said to enrich Europe’s cultural landscape and transform neighbourhoods into vibrant cultural hubs. The speaker also discussed the role of migrants in preventing and combating terrorism, emphasizing their ability to serve as bridges between communities and provide valuable insights to law enforcement authorities.

They stated that in cities like London, Paris, and Amsterdam, migrants had transformed neighbourhoods into vibrant cultural hubs, fostering creativity, diversity, and social cohesion. They also emphasized the role of migration in counter-terrorism efforts, highlighting that migrants were not more prone to radicalization or terrorism than the general population. Research has shown that the vast majority of migrants were law-abiding individuals committed to building better lives for themselves and their families. Additionally, migrants have often played a critical role in preventing and combating terrorism by serving as bridges between communities, fostering dialogue and understanding, and providing valuable insights and intelligence to law enforcement authorities. Their unique cultural and linguistic skills, as well as their connections to their countries of origin, enabled them to serve as invaluable allies in identifying and addressing security threats.

The speaker stressed the importance of successful integration and inclusion of migrants in society to prevent radicalization and extremism.
