Tactics Institute strongly condemns Israel’s retaliatory attack on Iranian soil. We urge both parties to exercise restraints and calmness to push the peace in an already volatile region. The region is already grappling with the deadly war between Israel and Hamas which has claimed more than 30000 lives in Gaza, further escalation is dangerous to the region. It is absolutely essential that the region remains stable and that all sides be restrained from further action.

Israel carried out an attack on Iranian territory on Friday, days after Iran attacked Israel with a barrage of drones and missiles.  Reports show one of these attacks has happened at a site near Isfahan. Iranian officials have also noted explosions at military sites in Syria and Iraq. Israel has long regarded Iran to be its greatest enemy — citing the Islamic Republic’s calls for Israel’s destruction, its controversial nuclear program and its backing for hostile proxies across the Middle East.

These tensions have risen since Hamas and Islamic Jihad, Palestinian groups, struck Israel on Oct. 7, sparking a devastating Israeli offensive in Gaza that has persisted for more than six months. Hezbollah, a proxy in Lebanon, immediately began striking Israeli targets, opening up tit-for-tat fighting along a second front, while militias in Iraq, Syria and Yemen have also struck missiles and drones at Israel throughout the war.

Moreover, the escalating Middle East conflict threatens to lead to higher oil prices, a reversal of the recent fall in inflation and a puncturing of the festive mood in financial markets, the International Monetary Fund has warned.

It is high time to halt the dangerous cycle of retaliation in the Middle East. We condemn any act of retaliation and urge the international community to work together to stop any further development that could usher in devastating consequences for the entire region and beyond.

Tactics Institute cautions against the danger of regional escalation. We condemn all acts that threaten to drag the region into war. Israeli-Iranian retaliations must stop. The inhumane war on Gaza must cease now. The focus of the world must remain on terminating the catastrophic aggression on Gaza. De-escalation remains the demand of the day shortly. We encourage all parties to work to prevent further escalation.
