Therefore, DHS works diligently to enhance intelligence collection, integration, analysis, and information-sharing abilities to ensure members, stakeholders, and senior leaders acquire actionable intelligence and information required to inform their decisions and operations.
DHS’s necessary and statutorily charged assignment is to deliver intelligence and facts to federal, state, local, tribal management and private sector partners. DHS has the most comprehensive customer base for intelligence products of various issues and classification conditions. This responsibility needs an integrated intelligence network to eradicate redundancies and a mission-focused direction to producing and disseminating intelligence.

Terrorist descriptions across the ideological spectrum increasingly promote the use of simple tactics that target extensive public gatherings, operating vehicular attacks, small arms, homemade explosives, or chemical, biological, or radiological substances. These seizures often lack overt caution signs, limiting intervention or uneasiness opportunities.
Ensuring the protection and safety of our Nation’s highest officeholders is a paramount obligation that demands operational embodiment. DHS defended a highly skilled and motivated force combined with ingenious technologies and developed countermeasures to shield designated leadership, visiting foreign heads of state and management, and National Special Security Events.
In addition, DHS covers federal facilities and personnel across the United States, backs tribal, state, and local administrations to protect occasions of national significance, and improves security for frail targets.
Specifically, DHS is leading measures to defend soft targets by transferring intelligence bulletins and examination with homeland security stakeholders, designing best practices to counter attacks against soft targets, fostering a dynamic process to evaluate and address security holes, and investing in analysis and development for technological explanations.
