Tactics Institute for Security and Counter-Terrorism Calls for NATO to Provide Further Support to Ukraine

The Tactics Institute for Security and Counter-Terrorism is deeply concerned about the escalating tensions between Ukraine and Russia, particularly in the Donbas region. We believe that Ukraine has the right to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and we call on NATO to provide further support to help Ukraine deter further aggression from Russia.

As an independent think-tank dedicated to providing research, analysis, and recommendations on security issues, we recognize the critical role that NATO plays in ensuring peace and security in the Euro-Atlantic region. The alliance’s commitment to collective defense and solidarity is essential to deter potential aggressors and maintain regional stability.

The ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine has been ongoing since 2014, and the situation remains volatile despite several ceasefire agreements. The recent military buildup by Russia near the border with Ukraine and the ongoing military operations in the Donbas region are a clear violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. We are deeply concerned about the humanitarian situation in the region, and we urge all parties to respect international law and human rights.

NATO has already provided significant support to Ukraine, including training, advice, and non-lethal equipment. However, we believe that more can be done to help Ukraine deter further aggression from Russia. We call on NATO to provide further support to Ukraine, including lethal defensive weapons, intelligence sharing, and increased training and advisory support.

Providing lethal defensive weapons to Ukraine would send a clear message to Russia that NATO stands with Ukraine and is prepared to help defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Intelligence sharing and increased training and advisory support would also help Ukraine improve its capabilities and enhance its defense posture.

The Tactics Institute for Security and Counter-Terrorism believes that a strong and united NATO is essential to maintaining regional stability and deterring potential aggressors. We urge NATO to stand with Ukraine and provide the necessary support to help it defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
